Calculation methodology

UtilGrid publishes the formula, example and limitations beside each calculator so people and search assistants can verify how a result was produced.

How results are calculated

Inputs are processed in the browser using the formulas stated on each tool page. We keep full JavaScript precision during calculation and round only displayed results unless a tool explains a different rule.

Testing and review

Calculators are checked against hand-worked examples, zero values, decimal inputs and boundary cases. Financial, health and tax tools are estimates and never replace advice from a qualified professional or current local authority guidance.
