Editorial policy and corrections
Our goal is to make every tool useful without hiding the assumptions behind its answer. Advertising does not determine formulas, conclusions, or which tools we publish.
Original purpose
UtilGrid tools are built to complete a specific task in the browser. Explanations are written for that tool, not copied from other calculator sites. We publish a page only when the calculation works, the inputs are understandable, and the result has enough context to use safely.
Research and sources
Mathematical formulas are checked against hand calculations. For topics that can change, such as tax or health guidance, we prefer primary sources from governments, standards bodies, and recognized public-health organizations. We avoid claiming that a general estimate is a personalized recommendation.
Review and updates
Pages show a review date. A review checks the calculation, example, labels, limitations, mobile usability, and related links. A date is changed only after that review, not automatically on every request.
Advertising independence
Ads, when enabled, are visually separated from controls and results. We do not ask visitors to click ads, disguise ads as downloads or navigation, or change a calculation to benefit an advertiser.
Corrections
Report an error through our contact page with the URL and reproducible inputs. We verify the report, update the calculation and explanation together, and prioritize errors that could materially affect a financial or health decision.
